The BCC administration has targeted the most experienced adjuncts for layoffs. They have weaponized COVID-19 pandemic layoffs against, faculty and staff who are primarily women, people of color and poor. While choosing to fire the most experienced adjunct faculty -who earned the right to a modicum of job security – a 3 year adjunct appointment, and college assistants (individuals who earn some of the most modest incomes), they have insulated themselves, the “Executives” the most highly paid workers on campus from the same cuts.
