We’re teaming up with United University Professions and CUNY Rising Alliance, a growing student-community-labor coalition, for a massive march from Brooklyn Borough Hall across the Brooklyn Bridge to Foley Square. The State Senate and Assembly will vote on their “one-house budgets,” their responses to the governor’s budget proposal, just days after this March 6 show of strength. So, we need you—and your family—there to demonstrate still rising support for #NewDeal4CUNY and to push the Legislature to go #Allin4SUNYCUNY. RSVP here to let us know you’ll be there.
If you attend only one union action this spring—make it this march!

- 12:45 PM, March Steps Off--Chants, Music from Rude Mechanical Orchestra

The forecast says near-record high temperatures, cloudy with a chance of occasional light rain in the morning–a beautiful day to march!
Wear your red PSC “Everybody Loves Somebody at CUNY” shirt, if you have one. We’ll have more PSC shirts and bandanas to give out at Borough Hall.
At Foley Square there will be limited quantites of free samosas, empanadas, champurrados (a hot beverage) and tamales, snacks provided by members of the Street Vendor Project. There will also be bottled water and bags of Red for Ed candies.
The event starts with a rally at Brooklyn Borough Hall (209 Joralemon St, Brooklyn, NY 11201). Here’s a tool to find directions by bus, LI Railroad or Subway, and a map of nearby paid parking.
