Teach CUNY at LaGuardia CC
![]() |
What is Teach CUNY?
Teach CUNY is a union-led effort to build student-faculty solidarity for the upcoming budget and contract fights because our working conditions are students’ learning conditions.
In Spring 2011, faculty at BMCC held Teach CUNY lessons in their classes, discussing with students the nature of the fiscal crisis, its consequences for education, and alternatives to austerity.
This Fall, the LaGuardia chapter is planning a similar project. All are encouraged to use and contribute resources.
At LaGuardia, Teach CUNY will take place October 24 - 30. Classroom-based events will occur throughout the week, and the campus will come together for a Community Forum on Wednesday, October 26, 10:30 - 11:45 am in E 242.
Teach CUNY because students, faculty, and staff deserve a better CUNY, not more cuts. Get involved and ask your students to get involved, too.
