AFT UPDATES
American Federation of Teachers

At its July 2006 convention in Boston, the AFT announced the launch of a state and national legislative campaign to address the exploitation of part-time and adjunct labor in colleges and universities.  More

At its July, 2006 convention, the AFT intensified it defense of academic freedom and opposition to ABOR,  the so-called "Academic Bill of Rights" (ABOR) legislation that uses the language of academic freedom to advocate for outside political monitoring of academic and classroom discourse.
