On May 1, International Workers’ Day, PSC members across the University will teach and work in resistance to the Trump regime’s dangerous policies on education, workers, immigrants, the environment and more. Join us!
CUNY at its best represents the chance for working-class and middle-class New Yorkers from every country, culture and tradition to transform their lives. But that inclusive vision is under attack. Federal policies based on racism and bigotry threaten our students. Anti-intellectualism, “alternative facts” and planned cuts to research funding threaten our work. That’s why we ask you to “teach resistance” on May 1. Faculty and academic staff across the country will be devoting class time on that day to discussion of the Trump administration policies relevant to their subject. Together we will use our power to continue enabling students to examine the world—and change it.
