The Commitment of
Our Chapter Officers:
To strengthen and protect faculty governance, rights, and academic freedoms against administrative encroachment.
To improve gender and ethnic diversity among faculty consistent with that of our student body.
To create a work environment attractive to new, dynamic faculty.
To recognize the unique nature of the three schools which comprise Baruch College and represent their unique interests within the structure of the PSC.
To support PSC"s insistence on an equitable contract:
To improve communication with Chapter Membership (such as Newsletter and web site)
To encourage greater participation in chapter meetings, projects and committees
To mobilize faculty in defense of local as well as broader PSC interestsTo be vigilant in contract enforcement (e.g., department compliance with 12-credit release time benefit for junior hires)
