Chapter Chairs

Given that the PSC is only as strong as its chapters are active and engaged, the convening of chapter chairs takes on great importance. The chapter chairs generally meet as a group with the top officers and staff of the union once a month during the academic year. The meetings, usually held in the union hall on the second Thursday of every month, provide a vital back forth of information, activities and initiatives between the central union and its base, the chapters. While the chapter chairs committee is not a policy body, all of its members sit on the delegate assembly, the governing body of the PSC. The chapter chairs committee does not necessarily make policy -- at least not directly, but nonetheless plays a critical role in refining and implementing that policy.
