Grievance Policy Committee

The University-wide Grievance Policy Committee is a rank-and-file committee that reviews grievances and decides on further action, including whether to take a grievance to Step 3, Arbitration. The Committee is made up of experienced faculty and staff grievance counselors, and includes the University-wide Grievance Counselor in a non-voting, ex officio position. The members of this committee are appointed by the Executive Council, of which it is a standing subcommittee.

  • PSC Members' Use of CUNY Email

    The news about the Wisconsin GOP’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for University of Wisconsin History Professor William Cronon’s email correspondence has generated a lot of questions from PSC members. The union is very concerned about the chilling effect that such fishing expeditions might have on the free exchange of ideas on university campuses, and we stand with those who denounce this obvious attack on academic freedom. That said, members should have clear guidance regarding the computer and email policies at CUNY. Here is a message on the subject from PSC First Vice-President Steve London:
